HOB Skimmer

Hi everyone.

Please pardon a noob question.

I am considering a HOB protein skimmer and need some information on where to find and choice of model.

In my 2ft fresh water tank, I do not have a sump and running on Eheim Liberty HOB filter. I won't consider an internal skimmer unless I am left with no other options. It is mainly due to the aesthetic and heat that I won't consider it.

Appreciate any info on HOB protein skimmer. Thanks.

I have read good reviews about the Reef Octopus BH1000 for protein skimmers. If your tank is tall enough, you might want to consider this. The video review is here http://youtu.be/3pM4XHS5hxI . Probably can check with freshnmarine or madpetz.
