You mean buy more mesh and tie the riccia growing out is it?
actually after some time, i hope you already noticed hortworts is floating plant. (That or someone mentioned but i don't recall.)
Just another update on the progress of my tank. Did quite abit of touch-ups over the weekend:
prepared my 2nd batch of Riccia as I feel my foreground pretty empty, and it would take awhile for my Riccia to grow to cover and make a carpet of it
ran out of riccia stones and used wire mess instead. Hope they will grow quickly and cover up the ugly foreground.
Understood that my HM are planted wrongly and at the same time shaded by my Hornwort. I removed all my HM and Hornwort and repositioned them STALK BY STALK (super back breaking):
subsequently, after repositioning, Rotala were also re-located (alos stalk by stalk, I realise that alot of plants do not like being lumped together):
Finally, Day 15 of my Tank:

I bought more riccia when i pass by NSA to tie them onto some left-over mesh to try cover-up my foreground.
You are right, hortworts are floating plants, I notice some of them were left dangling among the rest of the plants but they continued to grow for many days. Planting them into the substrate just make them more tidy and not float around the tank. And I feel they make good background, curtain plants.

Day 19:
my first trim for my Tank:
before trim:
after trim:
re-located the egeria densa:
and guess what, they started to pearl:

I guess the previous position together with Lindernia rotundifolia Variegated did not work well, all the light been covered by them. My Lindernia rotundifolia Variegated grew really great, getting denser by the day.

Haha... I was actually pretty surprise how my Java and Christmas Moss grew. So far, I have been only dosing Brighty K every single day. This weekend onwards, I will dose the rest of P, N and Fe. Hopefully, the rest of the plants will improve too. Ammonia level in my tank is still pretty high, so still not suitable to have the main faura added.

Brightly K as in the ADA? Heard it's pretty good but have not tried it personally.
Seriously ...Moss and Fern are supposedly easy plants...to me they are the hardest plants ...HAHAHAHAA

Aiya... I thought some algae might turn it a little greenish. *touch wood, touch wood* but seems my Amano shrimp, SAE and oto are working so hard in my tank. Now I can only hope my Christmas moss will grow faster to cover the rest of my rock.
