may I know if I wanted increase the working PSI pressure, is there any way to do it?
the pic shows the current gauge I am having.

Intend to use a inline diffuser. Read that some inline diffuser may need higher PSI, and some don't need to.

    Seeking advise. Thanks in advance!

The regulator you are using looks similar what i'm currently using too (is it the ANS brand one?)... that model has a preset fixed working pressure and isn't adjustable. Mine is set at default 45-50 PSI when the solenoid is off and drops slightly to around 40-45 PSI when its on. At those pressure settings, i've found that it is sufficient to be used with inline diffusers (i currently use it with a splitter to share amongst 3 tanks using inline Up Aqua super diffusers, all running well so far).

If you need even higher working pressure, then you'll need to get regulators that can be adjusted (usually cost more).

i did not check what brand it was, but this co2 system bought in GC. I am still wondering whether I should change to inline diffuser to reduce my maintenance or not, but i read from other forums about plants 'prefer' to be sprayed by the co2 bubbles more, rather than co2 enriched water.

    Re: CO2 working pressure PSI

Yeah, i also read online (most notably Tom Barr's observations thread) about the possibility that very tiny Co2 bubbles (small enough that they don't float up, yet can still be seen) could be better for plant absorption compared to fully dissolved Co2, due to the bubbles being able to settle under and around plant leaves in pure form.

I guess it also depends on whether you like the fizzy look in your tank or a clear look when the Co2 is being injected.

Btw, the inline Up Aqua super diffusers that i currently use don't dissolve the Co2 fully, they create more of a mist effect with very tiny bubbles that drift with the flow around the tank.

I am using the same ans solenoid. I thought the pressure of what you are having is relatively higher than others?

    Hmmm... that's an interesting observation.

Managed to take a photo of my ANS solenoid regulator (the regulator solenoid is currently off):

The working pressure gauge is actually sitting at around 55 PSI at the moment (abit higher than my previous estimate)... not sure why my unit is preset with a higher working pressure, maybe it differs from model to model?

looks really the same.. and my working pressure is so much lower than yours... is it because i did not turn on the valve fully?

Yes, its best to open the Co2 tank's top main valve fully, or else it might restrict the gas flow and pressure too.

That's quite a large drop in working pressure when the solenoid is on... what Co2 diffusion method/equipment are you using?

using the glass diffuser... i do like to see bubbles, but I am also lazy to maintain the diffuser haha
i will go and try turn on the valve fully tonight and comeback with the result

update: turning on full valve doesn't increase the working pressure, guess its fixed then
any good adjustable CO2 regulator that experts here can recommend? not rich, please do recommend some reasonable gadget?
    thanks!

Hi nickky23...adjustable CO2 regulators that I know so far are the German ones and they are not cheap. while they are adjustable, this sort of regulators also has a preset pressure before the safety valves blow.

    Re: CO2 working pressure PSI

Up aqua has A-164 adjustable working pressure regulator, price wise slightly over $100 as seen in our local LFS.

i have seen it in Seaview and East Ocean

    More details:
    http://www.aquariumhk.net/co2-workin...164-p-576.html

Max pressure able to set should be 100psi.. looking to buy one of these, but out of my budget.. so still sticking to second hand ones..

For your current regulator, maybe try checking with the seller about it? Could be a faulty unit and would be good if you can change it for a working set, save cost.

I went there a few months back, asking the uncle about German regulators, with and without adjustable working pressure. He said that they have stopped bringing in due to the influx of china Taiwan regulators and no one wants to buy them anymore. I briefly asked him about the cost, to know that it's 200+ 300+. Perhaps you could give them a call before heading down.. Otherwise you can go there and drool over their moss tank!

argh i read this post too late make a wasted trip down. But I did saw the adjustable working pressure regulator at Seaview. Cost some $130 range though.
will need to do more research then
