I intend to buy the above but I read that it is not advisable to mix with my tank water after I dropped in the solution which come together with the drop checker.

In that case, where can I buy the right solution or anybody can spare me some.

    Thanks alot

Seems that a couple of brands started to premix to correct and can directly use. When you buy if it says mix with tank water 100% confirm need mix 4dKH.

Distilled water has 0dKh (its been distilled of most minerals and dissolved solids), you can't just use it to mix with the reagent as it'll create incorrect readings too.

You need to use 4dKH solution to mix (made using distilled water and baking soda) or use a pre-mixed solution.

Just get the Ocean Free pre-mixed solution, can find it at most of the popular LFS, much easier to use.

May I ask how often will you need to replace the 4dKH solution + pH indicator mix inside the drop checker?

you only need to use it when you first setup your CO2. Once you got the right setup, you don't need it anymore
