Recent studies shows that putting recent studies in your statement have a higher percentage of trust people put into your recent studies. What?

Hi guys!
I'm new to the aquarium hobby and I have a pretty small tank (L30cm x W18cm x H24cm). I've recently noticed quite a fair amount of algae on the sides of my tank and on the plants and so, I'm thinking of getting a zebra nerite snail.
Generally, are these snails easy to care for? Do they need very specific water conditions to survive? Daveyy, how are your snails from C328 doing now? Thanks!
Nerite snails can help eat algae in the tank... they do best in well oxygenated and cycled tanks with neutral to alkaline water (7.0-8.0 pH). They can also do okay in slightly acidic water (6.4-6.8 pH) but overtime their shells may start to get thiner and get pitted holes.
Note that once nerite snails are doing well in a tank, there is a chance they will start laying white eggs everywhere (even if you happen to only get females, they still lay unfertilized eggs even with no males present). The white eggs wouldn't usually hatch in freshwater (need brackish water), but they tend to be unsightly and can be tough to remove, especially if laid on plants and wood.
Nerites will not bother algae such as bba and bga. They are good to have and don't need much attention once they are stabilised.
Since we are on the topic of nerite care. Mine do extremely well in my low tech cube tank, however, most don't survive in my high tech tank and I do acclimate them (Like what I did for crs) before introducing it to the tank. A
Any idea or advice?
They stopped moving and die off...
I also noticed the snails don't do so well in high tech tanks with Co2 injection... its probably the lower pH and low kH in such tanks that affect them.
I guess thats why we don't see Amano's ADA aquascaped tanks listing any snails as inhabitants.![]()
Nope, they die within the first two days.
