Hi guys, my very first post here, but have been lurking ard for sometime already.

Recently setup a 1ft cube tank, main aim is to keep shrimps because my outdoor 2ft planted setup has too high temp.

No filter and no lights. Pics are here.

Hope to get some comments from the members here so I can improve on it. Thanks.

It seems that plants have grown well during the 7 weeks. Well done!

I like the wood and the moss & fern attached. Splendid!

    No CO2, no filter?

Some red in it will be nice. Any liquid fert?
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

yup, no filter, no lights, no liquid ferts too!

Hi vinz, yah, no CO2, no filter. Got inspired by AQ thread on low maint tanks, relying on convection and fish movements. Overfeeding on alternate days to provide the nutrients. Only stuffed 2 cones of Roots monster into the gravel.

I did put in some red in the form of a single stem of plant, I'm not good at plant names, but it looks like Bacopa sp.? The leaves are green on top, red beneath, with leaves alternate. Sadly under the current conditions, the leaves all come out green. Any suggestions on which plant will stay red and will fit into the dimensions?

Or do i have to add some form of Fe fertilisation?
