Nice pictures....where's your alto? I thought you had a few shellies colony?

Seems like i still can't find the last of your similis. Never appear out of the shell and even appear also suspect they never make it. Funny enough my last remaining similis is still surviving till now.

Anyway i gave up on similis...bought a total of 15 and only 1 survive till now. I just bought a pair of L.occellatus last tuesday and another one piece on wednesday....they seems to be surviving well and they sure are fierce. Flaring at each other from day one and now they seems to be contented with their chosen shells.

Here you go. Total I have 3 pcs of altos. I will need more time to capture them under my iPhone 5s lens. I'm left with multis colony man and they are living happily in their 1ft cube tank. 1 occelatus pair in a 1ft tank. You can try putting your finger into the tank and see if they come bite you or not.

How does you sex the ocellatus? I've having a trio and can't really differentiate them apart.
Online indicate that female have a white edge at the dorsal fins...so far only 1 confirm have white edge but
all of them are always flaring and have a go at each other so not sure if there are females.

By the way, anyone wants 1 lonely juvenile N.Similis? It still inside the Occies tank and still standing on its own so
    suspect it is a male.

Try search for venting neolamprogus online. Best way to sex them. Mine very obvious. Also my pair are not aggressive to each other once awhile will flare but not to the extend of killing each other.

I've a friend keeping similis colony, very good in keeping tanga fishes. You might want to consider giving him?

My canister quite matured already so I let the tank run for a day and pop in my fishes

Re: Sharing my new tanga setup

Already search online but only get the same result...it's hard to guess if the white dorsal is at the end or half the dorsal fins.i guess need to monitor some more.

Think need to check with your friend first cos introducing a new male into the colony may not a good idea unless he wants to separate them.

By the way, just saw a some black calvus at aquaone...seems like the price is quite cheap.
