I think more interesting question would be how do you weed out un-reliable comment?

How I weed out the unreliable is through experience with the user's replies. See the user's replies in other sub forum, can tell the level of experience and the specialty of the user.

You need to ask the right question, don't just accept it because some guru said so. Soon you will come to relies many people just repeating what others said on other forums without knowing what really happen.

There are some users (in other forums), that have template replies..
    Replies like..
    "plus one
    10chars"

    Or

"please search the forum/internet. Its been discussed many times."

I personally feel the latter is very applicable...

you forgot please visit my blog for more info.

but come to think of it, 60-70% or more of folks post and ask even before trying to use google or even the fourm's built in search function.

10char, plus one . their not template replies. their used to bypass character limit imposed in the fourm.
you see that alot in hwz...
