    Hi everyone,

    Need some advice here...

I have a crs shrimp cum planted tank with co2 injection (electronic solenoid). I have gearing my water conditions for my crs shrimps but seems to have problems to lower and maintain my pH between 6.2 to 6.8. My pH stays alkaline or at best neutral when my co2 is on. Tried adding seachem acid buffer to my regular tap water top-up, but doesn't seem to work at all (i'm using a 24-hr fan so I top up about 1.5l of water daily). Any suggestions on how to do it?

My water conditions are as below:-

    KH: 1 -2
    GH: 4 - 5
    TDS: ~200
pH: 7.5 (without co2 and lights), 7.0 (with co2 and lights)
    Soil: ADA Amazonia powder type
    Age of tank: 4 months

Your biohomme medium is brand new or used?

Biohomme medium have this issue that when brand new, it tends to buffer your tank to pH 7-7.5 max, after a few weeks to months. The effect will wear off.

my biohomme plus is as old as my tank - about 4 months. hopefully the effect will wear off. I cant stand the pH swings.
