Isnt that using the concept of Hydroponics? I have those Chinese Money Plant in my home using those red round rock thingy...just pour water and there is a stick indicator telling me how much water is enough?

Except that it uses an air pump to pull water up and doesn't market any "air purifying" features.
I guess its more of a tabletop version of Aquaponics.![]()

I have a small but growing balcony garden growing herbs and other stuff. Have been exploring hydroponics and also realised that may need to put fish into the water source to deal with mosquito larvae.... just need to find the appropriate container...

I think the concept only acceptable to small and hardy fish like betta.
