After my first failed attempt for HC carpet, I bought an opticube 45cm (partially failed - some started to spread after 3 weeks).
First time fail I think is due to:
- planted whole bush of hairgrass and HC instead of small group but evenly spread; (because I got them cheap from farm)
- eager to put fishes - they simply uproot my plants whenever I on my lights.
This time round, still as impatient I bought an easier and faster growing glosso, hair grass, HC and mini nana.
plant them in very small clusters.
Glosso - 2 petals;
hairgrass - few stalks;
HC small clusters;
nana very easy to tie;
But I still think my scape missed something. maybe some gurus can advise?
Specs:
Ada amazon powder
CO2 at 6-7 bps
UP plant Led 45cm + green element 30cm 6*3 led (back to front)
daily seachem flourish - anything else I can add to encourage growth? Lushgrow?
Temp is 25c during photoperiod and 27-29c during non photoperiod.
I think my led looks underpower. thinking of getting another led as I cannot find a 45cm T5 (decently priced) with 6500k bulb.
thanks guys

Get a drop checker to check, as long it turns to green colour you should be fine.
