What color is the best for the background

What color is the best for the background of the tank.

It really depends on you. soothing to the eyes. Actually, it depends on the fish/fishes you have. Eg. Tetras do every well with a black background while the all-time Lohan fish does very well with blue background. Basically, your theme and fishes should determine

Hi JT,
Thanks for your advices , as i intend to keep tetras and shrimps for my new planted tank. My new 4 ft tank just delivered to me this afternoon and i looking forward for your advices in future as i'm new to keeping planted tank. I now keeping a RTG and discus in 2x 4ft tank.Thanks.

ic.congrats on yr new 4ft tank...haha. If you are thinking of tetras, then you may want to consider those black foam background. Those with a bit of rocky surface - creates a 3D effect. It is most soothing as well with patches of moss attached as well.
