Im currently keeping a group of 7 Centromochlus perugiae in a 1.5 feet tank. Given that C.schultzi is bigger, I would give a group about 2 feet I guess.

You might want to consider a 3 foot tank with a lot of driftwood and leaf litter, because these cats, while small, need a lot of swimming space. They are active at night and are extremely greedy fish. There was an article in TFH many years ago, on breeding one of the woodcats, and they produced a lot of young. Males have a modified anal fin I believe, that looks like the gonopodium of livebearers.
