e-ballast is the 'lazy' way for electronic ballast.
it makes use of power electronics to generate the high voltages required to start and run pl or fl tubes.
things you can look out for
1) e-ballast has a PCB board inside for mounting the electronic components
2) e-ballast is much lighter than magnetic ballast.
3) if you lights does not flicker when starting up, it is using e-ballast.
if you do not know electricity, it is not advisable for you to open your light to check if it is e-ballast. electricity is dangerous.
