I've tried the manual ones from IKEA but prefer the digital timer type.
Best value so far is from Qoo10/gmarket. Search for "timer plug". Takes about 4 days to arrive.

Hi,
I have this 2 feet shrimp tank. Just want to know if anybody here has any solution for lightings where I can set it to on for xxx hrs everyday.
Main point is to keep the plants well when I'm away for 1 week...
And the cost (roughly) and where I can get them from. Thanks.

wow you are a lifesaver thanks!
I thought I need to replace the entire lighting lol
I fallback to analog, digital is about precision but I experienced internal short circuit and it won't come up after the lost. Probably it was defect.

I've been using the SoundTech brand digital timers for more than a year (can find them at most local hardware/electronics shops)... works well so far and very easy to program.
Sadly my broken one is soundtech ;(

just ordered 1 from qoo10. thanks all for the info![]()

Mind sharing which qoo10 you ordered?

I believe in analog as well. However, I heard that the Maxspect razor lights have inbuilt timer. Cool eh? f you have between 500 - 600 bucks to spare. Buy that. I am saving up for one now.

no complaints. I set it to on everyday from 10am to 4pm. But when I get home in the evening, I do on the lights until sleep time![]()
I bought 3x soundtechs from the HDB hardware shop. Per unit about $9.80. They kept a very accurate time and so far so good past 6months. I used them to control my LED arrays to create a dawn/daylight/dusk effect and due to their accuracy, i can set my array overlaps to only 1 minute. Analogs is not as accurate and is close to impossible to achieve only a 2-3minutes overlapping.
