wood and rocks

Have any one in the forum walk in the natural reserve and suddenly saw fallen brunches and rocks lying ard and pick them up and place in your tank??

if have how u handle them ??how do you all soakand treat them with??

i thinking of using bonsai roots...any recommendation??

We are not supposed to remove anything from Nature Reserve.

But i found the broken branch from my mom's pot at the balcony where she did not 1 it and intend to throw it away but i think is a nice piece of wood as it have many branches and twists which tempt me ....pls advice
