Hi all, is it possible to have Dicrossus filamentosus, crystal and fire red shrimps living together? At what temperature should I keep these 2 since I've not found definite information on the net regarding the temperature for housing Dicrossus.

It is possible to keep Dicrossus with the shrimp, but you have to accept losses among the shrimp from time to time, especially shrimplets. These dwarf cichlids are predators after all and will not hesitate to eat the young shrimp. However, with enough cover in the tank, you might get survivors. Temperature range, at least in my experience is between 24-32 degrees Celsius. 28 would be good enough for them, 26 would be optimal for most part, especially with shrimps.

Yeap I'm aware of the loses. Just not so sure about the temperature ranges. I've found that my fire red shrimps don't breed much below 26C. Thanks again!
