    Leaking co2 tank from on-off tap/nozzle

I just got back my co2 tank and realize it's leaking from the tap or valve where you turn on and off the flow. How I know it is leaking? I can hear a hissing sound and that area is cold-compress air leakage.

I am not bothered to go back to the shop to "challenge" them why did it go bad after I sent in for refill, as I expect a generic less then satisfactory response.

What I would like to know is "can this be fixed" or it's the end of the road for this cylinder.

    Any guidance be appreciated.

Use wrench, tightens them. Seal with white 'pvc' tape on your cylinder - solenoid thread. And see how it goes?

Does not leak from that part, leaks from the head.

If the main tap valve is leaking then its likely gone case, no point fixing (unless a shop can do it for you for free)... otherwise safer to just change to a new Co2 cylinder.

Just curious, how old is your Co2 cylinder?

Tank is a couple years old..... Very lightly used. What's the best way to dispose such an item

I guess its the age and abit of luck... would be good to check with the LFS that you did the refill with, they might do a trade-in deal for you on a new Co2 cylinder.

was the tap knocked onto something hard by accident?
no harm to bring it back to the same shop for checking. ask whether it can be repaired.

if you want to dispose it, make sure all the cylinder is decompressed.

Go scrapyard or karang guni guy? By the way, what was the colour painted on the co2 tank?

Read from another place that green coloured tanks are from India and Soxal last time refused to refill any green tanks?

There are 2 shade of green, the dark green and the lighter green. For my experience, I would only purchase the black and grey co2 tank but I do have the dark green ones which has not given me any problem in the past. I too have read in the past that the new coloured ones are not that reliable.
