i am a newbie and sorry for the ignorance....does Y610 mean yishun blk 618?? any contact no.? btw i am looking for those dwarf type.....hope that it wont grow that big to bite my tetra....thanks for the info too




yes. Y618 mean yishun blk 618. and from my experience, dwarf puffer do bite the tetra tail, so, be careful.


in that case, may i know normally how people prevent the puffer from biting the tails to other fishes? Is there any prevention techniques which i can used to stop the biting occur? thanks

You can't prevent them from biting tails. Each puffer differs from another, some exhibit more tendency to bite than others.
I usually recommend loaches over puffers. Many people have problem keep puffers alive because they are very choosy when it comes to feeding. Many times, they starve themselves to death when the snail population run out.

I admit loach is a good option to clean up the snails.
But pls consider using the loach as they also interested to ruin some type of plant leaves. Mine is destroy the nymphoides indica...and very hard to catch this loach


so clown loaches is a much better choice than puffer to control the snail populations....but is loaches as efficient as puffer in controlling snails??
