Just to share a video of my bonded pair of adoketas. Came home last week to see the female guarding one egg on the pot but it was gone the next day. The pair has remained bonded and has been guarding this part of the tank since then.

The pair has spawned again at night. Some of the eggs have already turned white though. I don't think the water conditions are right for the eggs to hatch.

    Re: Ivanacara adoketa

Good luck to you bro! I had few failed spawn last time due to fungus... until I decided to let go my pair and use the tank to QT Altum
I didn't try artificial hatching though, which you might want to consider. I think they really need bacteria-free water to hatch.

    cheers

Finally after several unsuccessful spawning, the pair has free swimming fry. Fry about 2 wks old now.

Congratulations! For the adoketa spawn. Can i ask what are the pre spawning behaviours that your pair displayed?
