Just bought a few of these yesterday and theyre currently in a tank with my harlequin rasboras.
The thing is, they aren't as interested in the tetramin mini granules fish food which I feed my fish with and my harlequins are the ones which end up eating more.
I read that danio margaritatus prefer live food and just wanna know if freeze dried artemia or other freeze dried stuff will do? Or any other suggestions?
And how do you make sure the shy danio margaritatus gets their fair share of food especially when the other fish are so fast to snap up the food?
I realize this might be a very "noob" question, just wanna hear how the more experienced members do it.

My Celestial pearl dario are very good at hunting for food which drops to the base. They always snatched them from my pygmy.
One thing I noticed is that mine never come to the surface to take the food, but wait happily at the bottom for the food to be washed by the lily pipe.

My tetras(not sure about your danios, but should be the same for initially "shy" fishes) used to hide and didn't get their fair share of food, things that worked out for me till they are used to "Feeding time".

    - Lights out when feeding
    - Frozen blood worms(Cause they wont float like freeze dried) which i hold using a tweezer and just hover in their face or somewhere near it

Now they just run to the food whenever i feed them

I forget to mention that my Celestial pearl dario take flakes and pellets. To answer to your question on their diet. They might prefer live food but not the only type of food they eat.

Yea I dropped the granules near the filter's outlet so they get pushed down faster and looks like the situation's improved.
    Thanks!

My experience with them is they eat pellets, flakes, Iced Daphnes and definitely live food. They are very shy though, tends to go into hiding whenever I go near the tank.

I reckon they are getting used to the food and environment.
