Alkalinity = KH
Total hardness = GH
1°dH (KH or GH) = 17.9ppm equivalent of CaCO3
NO3 level in tap may vary depending on condition of water source.

Hi,
does anyone know how to intepret the data on the water alkalinity and hardness?
Total Alkalinity (as CaCO3) 20-50 mg/l
Total Hardness (as CaCO3) 50-100 mg/l
Total alkalinity refers to what? pH or kH?
Total Hardness refers to what? kH or GH?
Using CaCO3 as the base just confuses me...
Phosphate is <0.1 mg/l (ppm). NO3 has wide range between 0.5-15 ppm.
Anyone tested your tapwater with a Hach kit to see how much NO3?
Cheers
Boon Yong
