Yes thats what im trying to bring across. Buy the repacement and replace. The only moving parts in the classic series is the impeller.

impeller assembly fault I think, quite common problem.

the plastic (where the impeller blades also attached) attached to the magnet on the impeller broke...

Power on, magnet spin but the plastic section don't... resulting in rattle but low or no flow.

I do still have a broken 2213 impeller. I replaced impeller & ceremic shaft at 2 different times before...

It happened to me a few times, it just happen that the 2213 was bought as spoilt but didn't expect impeller so costly + itchy hands broke the shaft...
Over the years, have been keeping Impeller lessons... i have no clue why...and that last one was 2213 ...

Canister extremely at low price (faulty+used), impeller and shaft... around $50...

for my case, the rubber stoppers are quite firmly attached to the filter, but easily detached from the ceremic shaft (highlighted in red)

Do look to replace the rubber stoppers if they've come loose. it may be the reason that the impeller is not rotating, but instead wobbling as it is loose, thus causing the problems.
