    If you wait till the light blows off, you'd have given up planted tanks by then. The light isn't suited for freshwater plants, and algae will come very very soon.

    Advise you to change your bulb asap regardless of cost, otherwise you'll be tearing your hair out to control one algae type after another in your tank.

    haha. i think hair alage won't come again. 95% all plant take out. left 1 hair glass and one plant which i don't know the name. Now is saved $$ by switch off most of the light.

    what CO2 diffuser you're using?

    I'm new to planted tank but after I turn on my CO2 3-4 bubble per second my riccia to release bubble after 20-30 mins.

    I'm using canister filter which outlet connected to CO2 reactor and it help to diffuse CO2 almost 90% ... so what I suspect is your CO2 duffuse didn't work correctly and most of the CO2 wasted...

    hehehe. no la. because my lighting is not strong to throw into the deep blue sea. kidding. Just that my tank is too high. i asked the worker to bring the factory light. I don't know what light is it. It like those warehouse or light for stadium. ( should be Acrylic light) haha. my riccia is full of bubbies. Too bad, i need to return back the light. So got any fish tank used those type of powerful light? 5 ft tank???

    Some guys here use Metal Halide, do a search on "MH lights", you should be able to find some clues
