What fish food did you give them? How frequent do you perform water change?
Size of tank? No of livestock?
BC

I start to have casualties recently. All my different types of tetras start to get wipe out one by one. The symptoms discovered are loss of appetite, discoloration, blotted stomach. Those deceased are found to have different symptoms as stated above. Once discovered these symptoms, they will die within a day or two. My pH is still maintained at 7.5 all along, Temp 27.5-28degC.
Is my tank suffering from tetra disease? Are there any medicine that can prevent further casualties?

try dosing your fishes in protozin from waterlife ...this medication is goood for neon tetra dieases and velvet and costiasis or whitespots
stress will lead to death or a sudden change in temp or environment...

can this medicine be used on plants?

nope, dun think they are stress...cos no sign of them being stress at all...had been very oki in the tank for 3 months liao

i not very sure as i fish up all my tetra to another tank for treatment and later i do a major change in water at the main tank and after a few days then i release them down to the main tank...
i heard from my fren saying you could add some to kill the bateria in the main tank but not too much or some of the soft leave water plants will burn or u may notice a change of the color of the plant .... but the fish recover from his tank ...then he do change 1/2water and very sooon the plants and fishes get healthy...

You introduced any new fishes inside your tank recently?
IF your tank is already 3months old, should be stable enuff unless new fishes introduced carry diseases to spread to others.
You mentioned about puffer, could it be the cause of the death of fishes? How big is the puffer, wat type?
"The symptoms discovered are loss of appetite, discoloration, blotted stomach."
These seems to be internal bacteria, you can try dosing Interpet No9-Anti internal bacteria, you might need quite a lot for a 4ft tank volume.
I tried in my 2ft planted w/o much adverse effect on my plants, you can halve the recommended dosage 1st.

i am not very sure whether is the puffer...but this is the last fish that i introduce into the tank due to explosion of snails....this is the small type of puffer....but i didnt see this puffer attacking other fish...however it is damned efficient in removing snails....so how will i know whether this puffer will introduce any disease?? there is no symptom at all

If all your fishes have been healthy for the past 3months until the new addition of the puffer, the culprit could be it.
Could the puffer have injured the tetras? Pls observe, especially when the snail population diminish.
Did you quarantine new fishes? Its always a good practice to quarantine new fishes for at least 2wks for any diseases present to prevent any loss of your existing ones.
