    Hi,

    need u ppl's advice..jus got a extt cannister for 2 ft tank...after 1 day or maybe 10 hrs...tank still cloudy..why??
    got the medias like biochem, biohome, cr and coral ships all stacked into 2 trays...flowrate us 1000l/hr(previous ohf was 900/l/hr)

    Need yer advise ...
    pls help thx

    Is your tank setup brand new? What livestock do you have? the cloudiness can last for up to 2-3 weeks, and using additional chemicals to treat it useless.... can i ask if you know what are the functions of the media you have (biochem, coral etc)? Don't buy and use stuff just because the LFS says so....

    I would recommend you read the Aquatic FAQs section, the New to Planted Tanks article post (in the Planted Tanks forum) as well as read the various threads on the forum to learn a bit more about water quality and cycling before you proceed further.

    yea. cloudiness may be due to bacteria blooming, unwashed gravel, etc. such a symptom is mainly seen in new tanks especially. do have some patience.
