Can anyone explain why a bubble counter is needed or rather what is its usage. I thought that I can judge the amount by looking at the atomiser (thru the release of co2) that I am using.

    Thank you.

one way to count how much co2 to inject is by using the counter. Some diffuser do have built-in counters, there are counter attached to needle valves as well. But I think that those in diffuser tend to be inaccurate.. coz be due to the pressure built up in the tubing... (I don't really know)

The bubble counter is there to help you see visually how much c02 you are pumping in. Faster bubbles per second = higher amount of c02 being pumped in. It also acts as a gauge when you want to adjust your c02. It performs as a sort of check valve too.

oh i see....then what is the estimated rate of bubbles in the bubble counter for a high-light (and co2 tank + a small 1.2 feet tank) tank to be considered a 'good' injection? ( without mention of the pH and KH measurement)

    38cmx24cmx25cm
    vol: 22.8L
Intention: planting only dwarf hair grass throughout the tank.
After adding the gravel and fertilizer, left only about 18cm height.

    Thanks

Apart from the above question, may I confirm that the counter is put in between the one way valve and the atomiser(diffuser) or between the regulator and the one way valve?
