    Re: 2Feet tank

    Nice setup!

I saw the Zetlight brand aqua lightset online a while back and was quite interested in it too, but couldn't find it available locally at that time... where did you get it from? And does your model come with the remote control module which can set the dawn/dusk dimmer timing and rolling cloud/lightning effects too?

    Nice set up.
May i know where you got the Eusteralis Stellata?

This plant is rather hard to grow nicely. tried once when a friend passed 1 stalk to me. Did not survive..

    Re: 2Feet tank

@ Urban Aquaria : Hi i do not know if this is against the rule, remove this post if it is admin. But I currently own a small business called Aquatic Avenue which deals in aquarium related items. ZetLight and Intense are currently some of the products distributed by me. This model does not come with remote, it can only turn on or turn off. The bigger models however, comes with those options you talk of.

Erctheanda : I got it from china . So far I am having success growing it in ADA,Planta and Lapis sand. I either use JBL Aquabasis or Laterite as base most of the time . CO2 at 1BPS, Temp at 23-25 degrees celcius. Lights at 7-8hours , Used before T5 and PL with no issues , LED I am currently trying out. When it grows well, it is a fast grower like most stem plants. Just cut if overgrown and replant or let the bottom half grow out if the bottom half still looks healthy. the top can also replant.

@Dodofish: Yes they are, here is the picture of all the rocks i used before I buried them in the soil haha. They are available at GC, smallest one i saw was just a pebble and the largest are more or less 20cm, slightly bigger than the ones i am using.
@qngwn: Thank you, look forward to more pictures as i take weekly pictures.

    Re: 2Feet tank

For the placement of your Co2 diffuser, its better to position it on the opposite side of the tank from the outflow... so that the Co2 bubbles are circulated around the tank across all the plants, instead of just rising up and disappearing at the surface (the area under the lily pipe outflow has the lowest amount of circulation).

And perhaps consider positioning the inflow on the same side and close to the outflow, so that it creates a better circulation path and helps reduce dead-spots under the outflow area.

Here is a diagram for the ideal circulation path when using lily pipes and Co2 diffusers:

    Re: 2Feet tank

Yes, I am aware of this , but I dislike the minor blurring caused by the bubbles blocking the view haha. Anyway the diffuser bubble super fine , have not reach surface already dissolve already then I also notice the undissolved bubbles getting sucked into the lily pipe due to the skimming effect and blown across the tank. And the dead spot problem I also got check. I used mineral powder to "trace" the flow before positioning the inlet and outlet.

My plants are growing fine and bubbling anyway, will update here if there really are any problems with the current setup

Nice setup with quality equipments.. Definitely worth investing in such equipments.

Would you be selling off some of your trimmings soon? Would like to get some!
