Someone help me ID this floating plant

I need help to ID this floating plant.. dunno wat issit called... if possible can gimme some background information of it?

Those are not frogbits they are water lettuce. Frogbits have different root structure.

it is not frogbits.
frogbits have rounder leaves, not elongated.
the roots have very fine root hairs.
under strong lights, the leaves will have patches of brown.
