Hi, I just built this small 13L tank with some plants which I think are not high maintenance but I could be wrong. Do you guys think I'll need CO2 for such a small setup? If so, will it make economical sense to get the Fluval ready set?

Since its a 13l tank, the question is what you are trying to achieve. If you boost CO2, light and ferts, you may end up with very good plant growth and you won't be able to see your fish and castle because the plants have grown.By the way I count about 10 guppies in the photo. Your tank is seriously overstocked and this will lead to problems along the way.

Oh, in that case I should be able to get away without CO2 to maintain it the way it is?

if you want, you do not need CO2. but you will need excel or CO2 supplements. primarily because of the HC under the castle.

also, you might want to note not to bury the rhizomes (part of the plant like a horizontal stem) of the ferns, they won't survive if their rhizomes are buried.

Hi, thanks for your input. Currently using excel and CO2 tablets. Noted on the rhizomes no no.
