Hi all(: I'm currently thinking of getting a halfmoon and placing it on my desk in my bedroom. But the problem I am facing is, my room is air conditioned at night and its quite cool in day as my door is often closed. Is there a need for a heater? And if so, where can I get a small small one for a betta tank?

How big is your tank? dimensions? If its a 5gallon tank(which it should be!!! please do not put them in small containers or those Betta tanks LFS sell) then a small internal filter like a Fluval U1 or Hailea BT200 would provide filtration and its motor would provide some heatA filter really brings out the best colours of your fish and prevents fin rot, ammonia burns from scarring your betta's beautiful fins

I'm probably going to use a nisso betta tank(: and yeapp i have a filter(: but i'm more concerned bout the heater cos my room is air conditioned.. :/

That's a 6 liter tank right?:/ with such a small volume of water... Temperature fluctuations would be very easy...overheating would also be a problem and the heater would cause more harm than good by giving the fish stress. If your room feels warm in the day, then the cold temperature at night should be fine
