I am piqued by your second tank setup. How did you get the lush hair grass without any co2 and fertiliser? Did you dose any excel? Thumb up for the beautiful tank

Hi qw. A question. By using ada amazonian soil, how do you root the grasses on the soil? Do I need to get the finer version of the substrate? The soil that I got is larger and my plants always seem to come out.

Yes it does have pressurised co2 injection via diffuser at 1bps. the fertiliser comes from the fishes poo. No excel.
Here one picture of the co2 diffuser, as well as a clearer picture of the rocks. This was taken after my whole HC carpet floated up due to neglect and disregard for trimming, and in the end i had to replant using Japanese Hair Grass.

I have always been using the standard type as the powder ones are much more expensive and they break down into muck very fast.
I shove them into the soil at 45 degrees so that when pulling our your foreceps, there will be the weight of the soil above the plant to hold them down.
Nice. I didn't know about the 45 degrees angle. Thanks for the advice! Will be looking to replant my smaller tanks.

I like the last tank in your post, it feels much bigger than 34cm, nice!
Are all your tanks the gex glassterior?
