i also got 8 of them in my 2ft tank. so far I havn't got the chance to see them eat. I have been feeding sera o-nip to my existing livestock.
Maybe I will take up your suggestion and feed them the brine shrimp as well?
Got a bunch of Weitzmani from GC last Thursday and they seem to be doing well after a week. Understand they are really sensitive and seem to only eat live food. So far I been feeding them ADA AP-1 which is really small and they do eat the pallets. The pallets just have to drop down to their level (they are usually near the bottom of the tank) before they eat them. They seem to love Ocean Nutrition Baby Brine Shrimp. These are brine shrimp which are already dead after hatching for a couple of hours and stored in a liquid form. The brine shrimp is really small and light and I had to shut my filter or the shrimps will all end up in the filter. Anyone else got some from GC or has experience recently had them?

can help to advise where to get the instant BBS product too? thanks for the help. still a newbie in this hobby though![]()
Try not to overfeed them on a single type of food. You may get a response from them during feeding time if you opt for live Moina. Microworms may work too. These tetras are territorial I believe and they will need hiding places all over the tank. Small PVC pipes or those small clay ones will do.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
yes, they are very good at hiding in my 'grassland' (E.Tellenus) haha.
I got it from Polyart at Clementi. Note that these are "dead" shrimp. Basically they are "killed" just after they hatched in some liquid. After opening you can keep them in the fridge for up to 6 weeks. Main problem with these are that there are so small and thus light, they float around or sink to the bottom of the soil. My fishes even cories seem to love them.
I am trying to find a space in my tank to have a feeding bowl. driftwood and dark areas blocked by plants seems to do well for them. I think since the first week, they are more comfortable and have started to roam the tank and come out to feed when I drop some pallets. They seem to only want to take food that can fit into their mouths directly. Going to try some gel food that can be stuck to the glass wall to see if they will graze on it.
yes got mine from seaview yesterday, the fishes seem to love it alot. and for god sake, its great you mentioned to shut off filter. the shrimp just basically flow to the inlet valve at very fast rate. i wait for most particles to drop to bottom then turn on filter again.
thanks for the location tip![]()
