Where it comes to tetras, I've always found black neon tetras to be the hardiest and most adaptable.
I am thinking of keeping 12 platies, 3 guppies, 6 corydoras in a 3 by 1.5 by 1.5 feet tank. I am currently deciding on a species of tetra(15-20 pieces)to be kept alongside them. The problem is most tetras need a PH of 6.5 to be happy in the tank. I plan to add some Seachem Neutral Regulator to my tank which will ensure that the PH will always stay at 7.0 for the sake of the platies and guppies. May I know which species of tetras are the easiest to keep in captivity or undemanding of the PH of 7.0? For my previous fish tank, I kept glowlights, Head/Tail Light, X-Ray, Bleeding Heart, Black Phantom and Lemon Tetras with decent success on PH of 7.0.
I do plan to keep either one the glowlights, X-Ray, Black Phantom or Lemon Tetras, Head/Tail Light provided that any either one species is available. Bleeding Heart Tetras are quite rare in SG LFS.
Any suggestions on which schooling tetras I should keep on PH of 7.0 alongside my livebearers?
