Hello, thank you for your kind comments. I'm using coral sand. It's a mix of 20, 10 and 5. I'm gonna be keeping a variety of Malawi cichlids. I guess they would be doing a fair bit of digging. As for breeding, no special intention. Hopefully, the residents feel comfy and start doing their thing

I liked your tank setup so well I tore down my 75 gallon today, I rearranged all the rocks and added some more to get mine to resemble your setup. Great job man, way to go. Looks so natural. My camera batteries are dead at this time, I will post pics of how mine turned out soon.
Thank you. I actually still have to add two rocks. But this set up took me awhile to arrange. I got my four friends over and we kept toying with the layout. I guess the wood is also important. I was lucky to find this piece. Am eagerly anticipating your setup. All the best!

Nice setup.. I would not keep the driftwood in there though (will decrease ph)..
That was my initial worry actually. So my first set up was without the wood. However, I thought Id just take a gamble. I have been monitoring my pH everyday and its at a safe 7.8 -8.2 range. My other water parameters are also at comfortable range and my water is quite hard too. That's why I have kept the wood in. I shall continue to monitor the water. Thank you for your advice though.

Here is my setup, it is a little different than how you set yours up, but I got the idea from you, I used to worry about having too many rocks, but this time I ran wild with them. I will probably rearrange them again, I am not just quite happy with it yet. It finally finishes cycling so I need to figure it out quick.

Bro trader_sam, how's your tank going. Finished cycling? What fish are you keeping

Definately going with Africans, Almost all the rock I have in the tank is limestone and it keeps the PH right about 8.0, I think I am about ready to add fish, I get 0-on ammonia 0-nitrite but still getting 40ppm on nitrate, They suggest not go above 40 on nitrate so I may wait and see if it goes down before adding fish, because I am sure it will only get higher after adding the fish, Probably go with some Mbuna's and Peacocks
