somehow the picture of the cherry shrimp above looks very much like an Opae Ula Shrimp, or maybe it's just a skinny Cherry Shrimp with a big head.

Re: Shrimp's Henge - Pics Heavy!

    Thanks Elias..

@AhVy: Thanks.. initially for 2 weeks the photoperiod was 4-5 hours. After 2 weeks, I increased the fert dosing to almost double of EI and lighting to 10 hours plus. I dose KNO3 and KH2PO4.

Thanks all for the appreciation.. Never aimed the scape on this one though.. even the stone is picked up from the road side..

After 2 weeks i read about things like iwagumi setup, golden ratio and rule of thirds, will try in the scapes to follow..

Just a suggestion, maybe you can use lily pipes? Co2 should be place opposite the lily pipes for the best circulation. SAE can grow up to 10-14cm so good luck! Nice scape anyway!

Re: Shrimp's Henge - Pics Heavy!

@zhaoronglim: Thanks for the suggestion. I will invest in lily pipes soon. SAE was only for a short while, removed afterwards.

Will be updating the thread soon as i have done minor changes to the tank. Thanks all.

Re: Shrimp's Henge - Pics Heavy!

    Hi Eric/Grandmaster,

Thanks for the appreciation. This is my first shot at high tech planted tank, and most of the things I learnt through this forum from hobbyists like you..
I noticed that by increasing my photoperiod to 8 hours plus and aiming much more than EI dosing, the plants pearl much more. Maybe because I have very high light (4 wpg) and excess nutrients.

I did quite a few mistakes, did not introduce algae crew till the third week thinking the tank was cycling and faced some algae issue till then. But by increasing ferts dosing, CO2 and photoperiod, all my algae disappeared. Just have a bit of gsa here n there now.
