but the ADA 2 feet tank is not that expensive right?

    see:
    http://www.adana.co.jp/letstry.html

the 2 feet tank (キューブガーデン60-P) is only 9000 yen which is about S$140.

the 2 feet FL light (グリーングロウ/604) is a bit expensive though, at 25000 yen which is S$400. but it has 4 FL tubes with built-in fan.

personally i like the light very much. the 4 tubes can give a very good light spread for planted tank.

I wonder if that is their starphire version or regular glass version. $150 of my price was shipping from Canada to US.

oh yea ADA has two versions, one is "60P", another is called "60P Clear". i guess 60P is regular glass and "60P Clear" is starphire glass.

2 feet "60P Clear" costs 25000 yen, which is S$400. hmm...

3 weeks worth of growth. Now that the tank is balanced, I'm going to try to aquascape the tank this weekend.

Woah... you've got a bunch of "weeds" there. :P That's is a good start!

Just thinking... I think it might have been better if you plan an aquascape and then you plant accordingly...

    IUnknown SIR,

looking forward to your update, most probably with wood/hard elements. Is your gravel ADA too?

How long were you into Aquascaping till you got these fittings?

    Unknown,

great job with the hardscaping, it is a very unique piece of driftwood you have there and your rock placement seems to exude a very serene quality.

come to think it, i think i can best describe your scape as an abandoned statue in the woods. anyone second that?

looking forward to your future updates

    Hey Unknown,

just out of curiosity, for this tank, what is your enivision composition layout (triangular, mound, etc)? somehow looking at it again, i kinda feel that the 12th december photo looks much soothing , focused as compared to the existing one (with the background stem filling up).

    cheers and happy planting

Originally I wanted to create a triangular layout, to the point that there isn't any stem plants on the right. I really like giant hair grass, so maybe I can use it on the far right to do a V type layout. The thing I have to work on is trimming the Rotala "green" on the left. It still isn't as bushy as I've seen it get in some pictures. Thanks for the feedback.

i found the reason why the current pic seems unnerving to me. it is because it doesnt look like this (happened to flip a book on gardening just now http://www.arofanatics.com/members/gregorsamsa/bookpic/ pic below.

Looking forward to your updates once you have rescaped (hey i do read your journal )
    cheers
