U just set up the tank rite ? Dont think you should add it now. Nutrient level in the water is prob still high.

Hi
anyone can advise when is the time to add liquid fertilisers and growth boosters? the product i bought, 3 bottles, from taiwan, indicates to be used weekly after water change. or is it better to add a few drops after lighting for about 10 hours (after switching off light)?

u have to trial or error.. each tank has a diff fert regiment.. root booster r good for foregrd plants, crypto, lotus, echinodorus plants.. to play things safe, always underdose as per instructed
Me too! I had bought a bottle of liquid fertiliser but all the instructions was in Japanese!
Any idea how much to add in everytime?

If you have test kit for Fe and NO, it will be easier to know whether you are adding the right amount.
As Simon have say, since it is a new tank, dun add any 1st. Maybe wait for the plant and the bacteria to stablize a bit.
Some said must add before light on, some said dun need. As long as you add daiy, think result shouldn't differ much.
yeah man u had betta not add yet... new tank very prone to algae bloom... betta wait abt min 3 weeks...
3 weeks is very subjective, plant stablize differently from tank to tank..
I aledy added on the first day after i set up the tank. i can notice growth on my glossostigma. i do not find much algae but will add my otos, sae and about 15 shrimps today. will get them in the evening
