What brand are you using? I noticed that OF brand is not as loud as ANS brand
Hi,
I know it's not an issue for most, not really an issue for me even. However, it's a big issue for my dog... I tried all methods to "bribe" my dog to accept the "Click" sound when it opens up once a day, unfortunately, there hasn't been any success since the beginning of time. She will go crazy and aggressive when it clicks open!
My last resort is to find a way to keep the noise to minimal, thought of wrapping it with thermal wrap for car (I have some spare) as the solenoid can get quite hot during use. I'm worry about the heat dispensation if I wrap it to reduce the sound, would it fried the solenoid in long term?
The final final resort is to find a solenoid that don't make the "Click" sound when it opens, however, I doubt there is any available in the market...
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!

My OF solenoid produce no sound at all. :-)
Mine is OF, and there's a loud click when it opens.
Train your dog not be aggressive when hear it.
Go crazy happy is ok, you can train it using clicker tool?

Intense still makes click sound haha, but my dog doesn't even care about it
Compared to ANS, it is less loud though. I could post a vid but i do not have a ANS to compare it with at this moment.

I have been using OF for more than 7 months. My chow chow still freaks out every time lol. That's why I'm at wits end, it seems like one of those things that it's a nemesis to her, similar to when my lights are turned on using timer... I think she just wants me to get rid of my tanks.
