Hello brothers and sisters!!
I've just started out this hobby, which i've actually been wanting to start but i have no idea how-to until one fine day my friend introduced me to get a tank, because he saw my marimo photo on facebook!
Let's start off with the equipment lists:
- 6"x6" Marina Cubus Betta Kit Tank (cover cant be used as the filter is protruding out)
- GEX Corner Power F1 Submersible Filter (using just 1 tube due to space constraint, set to the lowest flow rate)
- UP A-931 C&F Digital Thermometer
- Advanced Soil (1 Litre used)
- Nana Petite with lava rock (Can't remember the rest of the plants i've used)

They love crowding near the filter area, and most of the time the molting took place near filter as well~

Nice brother!!!!!
Nice clams! Where can i find them?
"When in doubt, do a water change."
Hello!
the clams can be found at c328 clementi florist aquarium, but its "seasonal" as i have been going there quite often and didn't see them restocking it except bumble bee horn snails, trumpet snails![]()
I initially thought u reared "lala" in your tank. What are the chances that they will "clam" your shrimps?
haha good question, ive been monitoring them but they are very defensive sea creatures....
Just a slight movement by the shrimp will make them "hide" themselves with their shells and they always like to dig the soil and go underneath till i cant find them, but thankfully my soil is black, so whenever i see a slight shell-ish texture on the surface of the soil i will know its them hiding there![]()
nice first time seeing clam, interesting
I see that your tank temperature is around 29 degrees. How is the CRS faring?
I am balding but i am still young!
my CRS been growing well, noticed the difference in size from day 1 till now..
(total 2 CRS, 1 died right at the beginning like Day 02 when i added them in)
the temp in my room is always changing from 25-28.9
half the day is in normal 27-28 and when im sleeping it would be 25-26
I believe your red and yellow will cross-bred resulting in natural color shrimps. I have quite a bit of those now haha but can't bear to cull them.
Better to separate them if you want to retain their colors.
the filter/powerhead needs to be covered up with a fine mesh/stocking so if ur shrimplets start hatching they won't get sucked in and die.
Cull shrimps are beautiful still ! Don't under estimate the beauty of these shrimps

The clams are cute!
I believe they are freshwater clams?
I have seen them quite regularly at Serangoon LFS, the fat boy stall. Not expensive but I doubt they will last?

What is that moss tied to the driftwood in the middle? Looks like moss I found in my garden, is if growing? I also have a freshwater clam and I rarely see it, it seems to be doing fine though.
