Got a pair of bred Apistogramma Bitaeniata 'Mamuri' from Aquatic Chamber sometime towards the end of Jan 2014.

It was the long 'orange' coloured finnage of the male that attracted me.

Nothing much happen in the first 2 weeks, the female was constantly harassed and was not in sight most of the time.

Then one day, the male just lost interest in the female. I was a bit worried as I thought the male has lost its 'libido'.
The female was more self assurred and no longer feared the male. But she was also not overly aggressive which did not lead me to suspect that she has already bred.

To my present surprise, in the 3rd week of Feb 2014, the female was out in the open with a brood of wriggles.

Few days after the the wriggles are out swimming, the male got excited again and started to harass the female.
Playing it safe, as I do not want to lose the frys, the male had to be 'locked' up.

Now - 1st week of Mar 2014, the frys are slightly bigger.
The male has been released and the female left to fend for the frys and herself.
Looks like she is doing a good job but not feeding much.
