neat and simplistic setup. What kind of lighting you used in the setup?
30 wild-caught Cardinal Tetra
10 Harlequin Rasbora
9 Corydora Stebai
1 Corydora Aeneus
4 Rosy Tetra
3 Otocinclus
3 Assasin snails
1 Diamond head Tetra
Total 61 fishes.
For setup, I cheated by buying direct from a LFS when the owner said want to change his current setup. So I just take, plug, and play.

2 feet tank with 2 lily pipes/canisters setup? Is it necessary for more flow for a 2 feet tank?
wow, low tech but definitely not low cost!
Nice!
I am balding but i am still young!
Hi Proster, Thank you. Want to keep it simple cause of the poo produce by numerous fishes. the open area is to facilitate me during water change. I am using NANA lights.
Hi Magpie: my tank got very high bioload. The corydoras got bigger poo and always chewing the wafers, and I also feed bloodworms and market prawns.
The two canisters were more for bio-filtration and aeration so that I can avoid using an air pump which can be unsightly. I may/may not add up to about 80+ fishes in a few weeks time. Infact, both canisters' biomech had been replaced with floss wool to trap the particles cause the corydoras keep digging the sand and stirring poo. One of the canister is using biohome.
Below the la plata sand, I added 1.5 pack of ANS shrimp soil to produce the humic acid, and weekly bioearth to give nutrients, and only Flourish excel was used. Light usually on 2-4hrs a day or alternate days.
Last 2.5 weeks, I keep seeing eggs in my tank. so quite happy about it even though I am not breeding the corydoras.
Hi Erctheanda, hmmm..... yes.... heehee I think the cost was more on the tank due to the height.
simple and nice setup...
the equipments are nice too...
bioload is confirm super high!!
interesting to know if you will find any corydoras babies soon....
Hi fireblade, thank you. This tank just more of a fish tank rather than those nice planted tanks the guys have here. I like the full planted tanks, they are pleasing to the eyes, but don't think I can manage.
I bought one set of the cheaper option of pipes from the same LFS to reduce cost.
Actually the corydoras belong to my wife. She is only keen in watching and feeding, but not maintaining it.... so....well.... I have to find a manageable way for myself. heehee

Nice and simple setup!
Consider adding Purigen into the filters.... it'll help to handle the increased bio-load.![]()

Wow a beautiful setup!! How's your water change regime is like??
Initially once a week or a few days, now stable, once every few weeks. 2 canisters with red biohomme. Currently total stock 68. If want to increase more, i will bring out the corydoras to another tank.
