Currently using both sicce and ehiem.
Personally prefer ehiem more due to trust in the brand, but sicce is not giving me any problems and is relatively easy to service.

Any opinions with personal experience with either the Eheim Professional 3e 350 external canister filter, or the Sicce Whale 500? Thoughts between the two? I had an Eheim external years before, was very happy, no problems. No experience with the Sicce.

Thanks for the reply! I did find this review on the Sicce which has made me think twice ( http://www.aquariumspeed.com/page/ar...ter-review-r84 ) Hence the need for more opinions.

Personally the thing i like about sicce is the quick disconnect option ,and that the trays inside has handles that do not get in the way of removing and changing the media, in which you have to do some modifications to ehiem to achieve the same effect.
Other than these 2, i still trust ehiem hahahaha. I have not used sicce long enough to test its durability and motor power.
