    Hi all,

I am a newbie wanting to start a 6ftx2x2 land scaping project in my living room. (only have this single tank)
May i know which shops in Singapore sell the most comprehensive equipments/ accessories/ wood, stones for planted tanks, like a professional aquarist?
I know of many shops that do not specialise in all these although they may be cheaper.
I also would like to know what are the most important things to consider before or after i set up the tank.
Your replies will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

i strongly suggest you do some reading of the blogs that some forummers here maintain.
good people like Urban Aquaria, Wongce (probably start with his blog) or shadow. there are plenty of tank journals here as well for your reading pleasure.

depending on what you want (what kind of planted tank, there are a few), you can visit local fish shops here like the ones Killinewbie mentioned of green chapter, seaview, sunpets.

If you have an idea of what to do, we can better advise you.

wongce reporting for duty, bow to grandmaster eric,

Hi TS, frankly speaking the prices are quite competitive nowadays. It very much depend on the service quality and the travel distance you are willing and able to go.

1 stop shops as per what the other members shared earlier are worth visiting...but before you go into buying spree, do consider the time and effort required to setup up and maintain a planted tank especially you are opting for a professional looking tank....haha all my tanks looks "unpro" though... Shadow and urban aquaria's masterpieces are definitely a not to miss...

My blog has the info you required, from start to end, with pictures, list of lfs with street directory links...well its a bit long winded but i tried my best to explain everything in a most short and concise way...the link is below my signature...hope you enjoy reading
