They can keep in the planted tank, but not with community fish.
Hi guys,
Lost all of my beautiful super red cacas.....![]()
Has anyone seen them anywhere recently? Seem like the apisto scene is rather quiet recently.
Thought they were pretty popular with planted tank folks a few years back..

Unfortunately, by the time I got there, there was only 1 pair left. Not an ideal specimen so I passed on that. Bought Apistogramma agassizii and Apistogramma nijsseni instead.

I saw a nice super red caca pair at Biotope the other day.
I like the cacas too but I prefer the wild-type cacatuoides over the variants.![]()
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
Yes. I was there last week and saw about 3 pairs. Unfortunately, I prefer "super red", not "super orange".Originally Posted by stormhawk

Okay so you saw that orange tone.![]()
Anyway, I think there's still a few people breeding the super red and triple red cacas. You could try asking the apisto keepers around. What about francis?![]()
