Anyone used it before? Does it perform like what's advertised?

I used it for a while in my arowana planted tank, but I still got real high NO3 (> 40ppm by test kit). That was when I had large masses of fast growing Hygrophilia and my arowana is small.

Now my arowana is much bigger (probably more then 6x in mass), I have less fast growers and no Biotrop, but my NO3 is managable at 20ppm. So, seems to me it hardly made a dent in the NO3.

OTOH, I had a fresh new layer of soil base fert back then and that could have been the source of the NO3. After 2+ yrs, the fert may be quite depleted already.
