    Hi fellow bros and sis,

While my fire red shrimp tank is cycling, my dad saw quite a number of planktonic organism which I think are Copepods.

Although I know the little white critters are harmless and natural, my dad isn't a huge fan of seeing white little specks infesting my tank.

So I've thought of introducing 2-3 Pygmy cory once my tank has cycled along with my FR shrimps . However I also would like to have a growing colony of FR shrimps , so fellow masters, will the Cory disturb and massacre all my shrimplets and stress my shrimps? It is a shrimp tank after all.

    Please advice thank you!

    Copepods-cyclops
    Ostracoda-seed shrimp.

Sorry I've no experience on cories in shrimp tank but I've a hardworking dwarf puffer that I'll transfer from another tank once a few days to reduce the numbers. I've got limpets,Cyclops and seed shrimp. Reason I pick puffer is because seed shrimp and limpet have hard shell.

I believe Corys will dash about here and there, in some way it's bound to scare the shrimps. Shrimps won't eat peacefully too with a bulldozer running around.

Hmm I don't think a dwarf puffer is going to work out for me, too lazy to transfer it around. :P

I think the bulldozing won't be such a factor... my shrimps get scared of me whenever I just go near to check; like I'm some harbinger of death . Think they get scared of anything and everything including themselves.

    Thanks for the reply !

You can get a few boraras brigittae to help hunt and eat the copepods, later you can transfer them to another tank before you add in your shrimps.

    Hi Urban,

I did thought of doing that with Boraras, but my other tank now is kinda overstocked (mum went on a crazy shopping spree).

If can, I would generally like to avoid transfering of fauna, as my shrimp tank is quite planted with bogwood and all.

    Greatly appreciate your valuable inputs
