I'm drooling over a black acrylic lily pipe against my black background..

--> Just to give you a vote of confidence, coloured ones need not be too perfect in terms of the curves i suppose.. Not that obvious (even if the curves are a bit off symmetrical) as compared to the 'glass transparent look'. Maybe..

That would be cool! Hard to find coloured acrylic tubes here in singapore. Or at least those of the correct sizes, have yet to see opaque ones. I think even coloured acrylic lilypipes have to be perfect or else it'll look ugly in the tank hahah, well maybe it is just me being a perfectionist :P

Nice job...I did this a while back, cant remember the size I used for the tube because it was some left over tube from an enclosed bird feeder project. If I only knew to use a bicycle pump, I probably wouldn't turn blue and out of breath from manually putting air into the tube! Haha! And yes...salt is messy!
