This is the 3rd day of my new tank. Do you guys dip any anti fungus/bacteria into the water? I'm thinking of getting algae eaters into my tank, izt the right time to put in now? And how to guage if the amount of co2 is sufficient for my tank using bubble counter. My friend say 1 bubble per second. Is this enough for my setup? I'm using a 2ft tank with a taller height of normal 2fts. Thanks for the replies

    Hi,

I don't think there is a need to dose anti fugus unless your fish is sick. And also it is advisable not to dose in main tank, anti fugus may kill beneficial bacteria. You may want to put 1 or 2 algae eater into your tank to start cyling. After few weeks, do a ammonia and nitrite test, when it is zero, then you can load up your tank.
As for the CO2 level in your tank, number of bubble per second may not be really accurate as not every bubble will dissolve in the water. you can use AQ CO2 calculator to calculate the level of CO2 in your tank. http://www.aquaticquotient.com/aq_ca...dex.php?page=2
