Hi everyone, new to planted fish keeping but have been keeping turtles for ages.
Currently have:
2 Golden Threads Turtles (bigger than my palm)
4 Water Lizards
Planted tanks:
2ft Planted: Bought over from a cool bro in marketplace.
3ft Planted: So new that i'm still cycling it. Currently watching hairgrass and glosso grow. And algae
Hope to be part of this community. I will be asking loads of questions on lighting, planting and ferts. Hope you guys don't mind noob questions!

3ft Tank set up:
There will be driftwoods at the sides, these two driftwoods will be combined and fixed on the left side.
Does anyone have any good suggestions to weigh it down securely?
Im waiting for the glosso and hair grass to carpet before sticking the driftwoods in.
Anything Im doing wrong care to point out please?
you can use rocks and (cable tie, fishing line or thread) tied to the wood to weight it down. After the wood have soak up water, it will stay as it is. You may then remove the rock. Alternatively, tie the rock in a way that it will be hidden or buried under the substrate for a more secure option.

Thanks Benny for your advice. Cheers I will do just that. I was thinking of using cable tie and rocks.not sure if cable tie is advised..
Cable ties are a cheap fix for many things. I have many in my tank. So far I do not think they leech toxins.

Haha in the end I didn't use cable tie as the wood was quite short. I drilled tiny holes in the dw and used fishing line to tie to a stone.unable to upload pics. Will do so later again if any of you interested to see, haha
